Overview

You sign in at app.precedent.cc with your account's email and password, or with a passkey. Your firm creates the account through an invitation; there is no public sign-up.

How to sign in

Choose the way you sign in. Both lead to the same account.

  1. Open app.precedent.cc.
  2. Enter your email and select Continue.
  3. Enter your password and select Sign in. The eye icon shows or hides the password while you type.

If your account has two-step verification, the app asks for a code after the password (see below). Once in, you land on the assistant or, if you have a pending invitation, on the screen to accept it.

Two-step verification

If you turned on two-step verification, or your firm requires it, the app asks for a code after your password. This screen is currently shown in Spanish:

  1. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy or another) and copy the six-digit code.
  2. Type it in Código de 6 dígitos (6-digit code) and select Verificar (Verify).
  3. Tick Confiar en este dispositivo 30 días (trust this device for 30 days) if this is your usual computer; that device will not ask for a code for a month.

Don't have your phone? Select Usar un código de respaldo (use a backup code) and enter one of the codes you saved when you turned on verification. Each backup code works once.

If you see Código incorrecto (wrong code), check that your phone's clock is set automatically and copy the freshly generated code again. If it keeps failing, select Cancelar e iniciar sesión de nuevo (cancel and sign in again) and start over.

For security, verification locks for a while after several wrong codes in a row. If you see Too many failed attempts. Wait a few minutes and try again., wait a few minutes without trying again, then sign in again. If you see Demasiados intentos. Pide un código nuevo. (too many attempts), select Cancelar e iniciar sesión de nuevo and sign in again with your password. If you can't wait or don't recognize those attempts, contact us.

If your firm requires two-step verification and your account does not have it yet, you will see a notice when you sign in. Turn it on in Settings with an authenticator app or a passkey to keep working.
